St. Paul 6, Newark 3

The St. Paul Saints used a four-run fourth to beat the Newark Bears 6-3 in an interleague contest. Saints 3B Tanner Townsend opened up the top of the second with a walk and 1B Ronnie Borquin doubled him home on the first pitch he saw. Borquin scored as C Benji Johnson reached on an error and Johnson scored on a double from SS Adam Frost. Another double from RF Jose Hernandez scored Frost. The Bear put together a couple of runs in the back end of the game with the help of RF Eric McGee's first homerun of the season but couldn't complete the comeback. St. Paul's Johnson also had his first dinger of the year on the night. P Wes Roemer earned the win with 7.2 innings of work in which he allowed three runs on six hits and seven strikeouts.

New Jersey 5, Worcester 2

The New Jersey Jackals got things going early with a run in the first and never trailed as they beat the Worcester Tornadoes 5-2. Jackal 3B Angel Berroa was 2-for-4 on the night with his third homerun of the season leading off the sixth inning. 1B Steve Caseres also had two hits on the night in three at bats including an RBI single in the seventh to give the Jackals their fifth run of the game. The Tornadoes scratched one across in the ninth as DH Nick Salotti singled home a run but that was all. P Jon Kibler picked up the win scattering four hits and giving up just one run over 5.2 innings while P Ryan Bicondoa was tagged with the loss after seven innings of work.

Quebec 18, Rockland 5

The Quebec Capitales had a monster game bolstered by 3B Jonathan Malo's six RBI to demolish the Rockland Boulders 18-5. Malo was 3-for-7 and scored four times on his to posting half a dozen RBI. Four of those RBI came on a grand slam that capped off a seven-run sixth inning for Quebec. DH/LF Josue Peley also pitched in three RBI on a 4-for-6 night. CF Sebastien Boucher and C Patrick DAoust both tallied two RBI. As a team, Quebec knocked up the Rockland pitchers for 20 hits. For the Boulders, 1B Ryan Scoma was the lone bright spot as he was 4-for-5 with three RBI. The win went to P John Mariotti for his five innings of work in which he allowed four runs (three earned).
