Brockton 6, New Jersey 2

The Brockton Rox clinched the final playoff berth as they defeated the New Jersey Jackals 6-2. Rox CF Chris Valencia, DH Shawn Williams and SS Dom Ramos each went 2-for-4 on the day with a run scored and a RBI. 3B Phil Cuadrado chipped in with two hits as well for Brockton. Rox starting pitcher Freddy Flores notched his seventh win of the season as he allowed two earned runs on six hits in five innings pitched. Jackals C Chris Anderson had three hits in the loss.

Quebec 1, Worcester 0 (4 ½ Innings)

The Quebec Capitales won their eighth game in a row as the Capitales edged the Worcester Tornadoes 1-0 in a game called after 4 ½ innings due to rain. The lone run of the game came in the second inning as 1B Rene Leveret scored on a sacrifice fly by C Patrick D'Aoust. Quebec starting pitcher John Mariotti won his 11th game of the year as he gave up a walk and four hits in the five innings pitched. CF Cameron Monger had two hits for the Tornadoes in the loss. If Quebec wins their regular season finale tomorrow, they will capture the second half title.

Rockland 4, Newark 3

1B Norm Hutchins hits a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Rockland a 4-3 win over the Newark Bears. Hutchins finished the game 2-for-4 with two runs scored. 3B Ryan Mollica also had a two-hit game and drove in three runs. Rockland closer Adrian Martin won his fifth game of the season after tossing a perfect ninth with a strikeout. 3B Paddy Matera and CF Danny Santiesteban each had two hits for the Bears in defeat.
