Worcester 6, New York 3

In the top of the sixth inning Monday night, Worcester fell behind the New York Federals for the first time. The Tornadoes didn't trail long. Over the next three innings, they put five runs on the board while giving up just one to the Federals. Worcester 3B Mark Minicozzi doubled in two in the sixth and another in the eighth to cap off his 3-4 night. On top of his three RBI, Minicozzi also scored a run, himself. Tornadoes starting pitcher Nick Serino only allowed one earned run but didn't factor in the decision after six innings. Tornadoes reliever JJ Pacella took the win with Rick Asadoorian picking up the save. Federals Eddie Lantigua went 2-4 with a run and two RBI in the loss.

Quebec 5, Broxton 0

Quebec 3B Michael Thompson homered in two runs during his club's three-run sixth, giving the pitching staff some cushion en route to the 5-0 Quebec win. Thompson's homer was his only hit of the night in four at-bats. He also walked. Quebec starting pitcher Bryan Rembisz picked up his first win of the season, shutting out Broxton over six innings while giving up five hits and two walks with two strikeouts. Jeff Duda earned a three-inning save, allowing two hits with two strikeouts.
