Quebec 5, Ottawa 1
Quebec picked-up their third straight victory as they downed Ottawa by the score of 5-1.
The Capitales banged out 15 hits in the contest with five batters having multi-hit games. Quebec SS Brad Antchak went 3-for-4 with two runs scored while 2B Nick Gotta had three hits in five at-bats along with a run scored and an RBI. Left fielder James McOwen added his seventh home run of the season and DH Maxx Tissenbaum collected a pair of doubles for the Capitales.
Quebec starting pitcher Jay Johnson tossed six shutout innings to notch the big win. Johnson gave up only five hits and struck out seven batters in an 85-pitch performance. The southpaw is now 3-0 on the season.
For the Champions in the losing effort, SS Daniel Bick and LF Coco Johnson each contributed two doubles.
