New Jersey 10, Newark 2
New Jersey gained a split in the four game series with Newark as the Jackals defeated the Bears, 10-2. New Jersey pounded out 20 hits in the game including three home runs, all of which came in the four-run third inning. Jackals CF Bryan Sabatella went 4-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI while SS Angel Berroa, LF Francisco Caraballo and C Chris Henderson collected three hits apiece. New Jersey DH Nick Giarraputo chipped in with his league leading 15th home run. Jackals starting pitcher and Pitcher of the Week Isaac Pavlik improved his record to a perfect 5-0 with the win as he tossed seven innings allowing one earned run on six hits with six strikeouts.
