Quebec 4, New Jersey 3 (Quebec leads series, 2-0)
The Quebec Capitales are one win away from their third consecutive Can-Am League title as they edged the New Jersey Jackals 4-3 in game two of the championship series. The Capitales scored all four of their runs in the third inning, highlighted by a two-run home run from 1B Rene Leveret. The Jackals made a late rally scoring a run in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings but came up just short. Quebec CF Goefrey Tomlinson went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Capitales starting pitcher John Mariotti notched the win as he gave up two earned runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings pitched. The series shifts to Quebec for game three Thursday night.
