New Jersey stays alive in the race for the first half title with a 10-1 rout of Brockton. New Jersey would score one run in the second inning and six more runs in the third inning to take a 7-0 lead and cruise from there. New Jersey was led this afternoon by SS Guillermo Reyes and DH John Lindsey who each had 2-for-4 outings with each scoring a run and driving in three runs apiece. Lindsey hit his eighth home run of the season as well. Joel Bennett picked up his third victory of the season going seven solid innings allowing one earned run on three hits with six strikeouts.

North Shore 3, Sussex 1 (Game 1)

North Shore wins the first game of the doubleheader 3-1 over Sussex. North Shore remains alive for the first half title while Sussex has been eliminated from contention.
