Camden Riversharks News Release

For the second time in two years Campbell's Field, home of the Camden Riversharks, has been named Ballpark of the Year by a media leader. This time by Baseball America, the leading magazine for baseball fans throughout the world and the respected authority on minor league baseball.

A poll of executives, coaches, scouts and the publication's readers revealed that the home of the Riversharks was the best of the 66 ballparks in the independent minor leagues. The full list of baseball's top venues - from the Major Leagues to high schools - will be unveiled in next week's issue.

Campbell's Field was recognized for fan experience, architecture, ambiance and view. With the setting of the majestic Ben Franklin Bridge and view of the Philadelphia Skyline, Campbell's Field remains one of the most picturesque ballparks anywhere in the world. The ballpark, in addition to the awards, has been used in several television shows and commercials both locally and nationally.

Campbell's Field was named "Ballpark of the Year" in 2002, among all Major and minor league ballparks by digitalballparks.com a leading internet site dedicated to baseball parks around the country.

The Riversharks First Base Shoppe will be open for shopping from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. There will be some specials on Riversharks items and a special gift for all kids who come down to the ballpark.
