California Eagles News Release

Ventura County, CA. Robert and Fumie Chiang, the husband and wife team, have been awarded one of the nearly 60 American Basketball Association (ABA) market reservations for the season that begins in November.

"With our business background, sports knowledge and international contacts, we feel very proud that the ABA will allow us to share the fast-paced, exciting basketball and entertainment at a value that a family can afford," stated Robert Chiang. "We know that Ventura County and Santa Barbara County need a fan-friendly, affordable and exciting professional basketball team. With the Eagles, our local businesses and communities can come together to enjoy an exciting night out as a family without much driving and have a taste of professional basketball close up."

The California Eagles will announce the home venue, head coach and team tryouts in July. "We want to thank the fans in advance for your support. We welcome your opinions as this will also be your team," said Fumie Chiang.
