Stockton, Calif. (November 20, 2006) - The Cougars return home after their two game back-to-back road trip led to a 0-2 road record. California falls to 2-2 for the season and will take on the Philadelphia KiXX at the Stockton Arena for the second time this season. California and Philadelphia face off a total of six times this season with the Cougars yet to travel to the City of Brotherly Love. The Cougars kicked off the road trip with an 18-12 loss to the Milwaukee Wave, the team's first loss of the season. They followed that game up with a nail-biter finish in Chicago. Down 15-6 in the fourth quarter, California rallied back to within one point but fell short 15-14 for their second loss of the season.
Newsworthy;
-Cougars forward Vicente Figueroa was named MISL Offensive Player of the Week. Figueroa scored a hat trick and had an assist in the Cougars' 18-12 loss in Milwaukee on Saturday. He followed that performance up with an assist against Chicago, giving him eight points in two games. Figueroa leads the MISL in points (16), goals (6) and 3-point goals (2). Figueroa was named MISL Rookie of the Year last season.

Saturday's contest marks the second of six meetings between the Cougars and the KiXX this season...It is the second meeting of the season in Stockton.
Dates to Remember: The first 1,500 fans at the arena will receive a Toyota Sport Bottle. Following Sunday's game against the KiXX, the Cougars hit the road for their longest stretch away from Stockton this year. The team will play at Philadelphia on December 2, at Detroit on December 3 and at Baltimore on December 9 before returning the Stockton Arena to face defending MISL champions Baltimore Blast on December 14. The MISL All-Star game will be at the Stockton Arena on Feb. 10, 2007
