
Cahoon Sets All-Time Career Receptions Record

Montreal, QC - (October 11, 2010) -The Canadian Football League has a new all-time career receptions record holder.
Montreal Alouettes slotback Ben Cahoon caught his 1,007th career reception, surpassing Terry Vaughn's previous record of 1,006. Cahoon set the record with a nine-yard pass reception from quarterback Anthony Calvillo.
The game was stopped briefly to honour the achievement where CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon presented Cahoon with a commemorative plaque.
During the ceremony, Commissioner Cohon remarked, "Today is Thanksgiving and we have a lot to be thankful for in this league. But most importantly, on this day we are thankful that you are in this league. You're a great player, you're a great leader and you better stay around for a few more years."
Cohon was joined on the field by Ben Cahoon and his family and Alouettes President and CEO Larry Smith.
Cahoon has played his entire 13-year career with the Alouettes.
