Buzz slay Dragons to end three-game losing streak
December 29, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release
MAYWOOD, CA - The Maywood Buzz losers of their three games came to Tijuana with a chip on it's shoulder. "The loses that we have this season could have all been wins but two games" stated Buzz Head Coach/General Manager Burrel Lee III. "We had to revamp our roster, add, subtract and carry the 1. We wanted to go into the New Year with the right team and the right style of play" Lee added.
The Buzz beat the Tijuana Dragons 126-112 and had 4 players with double doubles. "It is funny that after we have a game like this and 4 guys with double doubles that we end up after the game having team dinner at in 'n' out burgers home of the double doubles" says Lee.
The Buzz was lead by 2006 ABA All-Star Lamar Gayle who had 40pts, 18rebs and 7ast, Tarron 'The Beast' Williams 29pts and 10rebs, rookie sensation 6'0 Gurad, Terrell Hendricks 21pts, 13rebs, 7ast and 5stls. Chad Thornton-King had the other double double with 10pts and 11rebs.
Also for the Buzz, Jamar Cramer 5pts & 10rebs, Ty Thomas 8pts & 5rebs, Everett Ratleff 5pts & 6ast, Jonathan Davis 3pts & 4ast and Derrick Anderson with 10pts & 5rebs.
