OTTAWA â Football fans in the nation's capital can wear Renegades gear and go to the Grey Cup game at a much cheaper price.
The Ottawa Renegades have teamed up with the three Sports Experts locations throughout the Ottawa area for a partnership that will provide supporters buying merchandise a Family Zone Grey Cup ticket. For every $25 a customer spends on Renegades paraphernalia, they can purchase a seat to the game for $99 (plus taxes) in the special Sports Experts Zone. A limited number of 1,000 tickets are available at this price in the exclusive area.
"This is a part of Canadian history. It's not that often the game is here and Ottawa families now have a chance to afford and go see the game," says Mike Swartzack, general manager of the Sports Experts locations in the Capital. "We're proud to partner with the Renegades and are looking forward to Grey Cup 2004."
Sports Experts is the official retailer for the Renegades and the partnership between the two organizations became a natural fit. There are three Sports Experts locations in Ottawa: at the Rideau Centre downtown, at the Bayshore Shopping Centre and St-Laurent Mall.
"This is a great opportunity for us and for one of our partners to make an offer to our fans," says Brad Watters, President of the Ottawa Renegades Football Club. "The Sports Experts Zone will be an exciting chance for our supporters to get to the stadium for Grey Cup!"

The 92nd Grey Cup Game will be held on Sunday, November 21 at Frank Clair Stadium in Ottawa. The Renegades are honoured to host Canada's premiere sporting festival and event. As an organization, the Renegades hope to put on a show that will be regarded as one of the best Grey Cup festivals ever. In Ottawa, the Kickin' it in the Capital Grey Cup Festival begins on Wednesday, November 17, featuring celebration events at various locales throughout the city, leading up to the game.
