Butte Daredevils announce team auditions

ALBANY, NY (August 9, 2006) -The Butte Daredevils of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) have announced dance team auditions for their inaugural season. The auditions will be conducted at The Depot on August 16, 2006. Prospective dancers should be present by 6pm for on-site registration.

"This is a great opportunity for dancers to show their talents to the people of Butte," said DeeAnna Worley, Dance Team Choreographer/Coordinator. "If you have the talent, personality, and motivation to be part of a dance team of a professional basketball club, we welcome you to come try out."

Registration forms for the dance team auditions can be obtained from the Butte Daredevils' corporate office at the Butte Civic Center at 1340 Harrison Ave., Butte, MT 59701. Pre-registration is free until August 11, 2006; however, there will be a $5 non-refundable registration fee for signing up on or after August 11, 2006 until the time of the auditions, when the applications will be due.

Potential candidates must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate. Candidates will be judged based on ability to grasp choreographed routines, maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively along with physical and personal appearance. Team members will be expected to perform high-energy, fast paced dance routines as well as make personal appearances on behalf of the Butte Daredevils, supporting various events throughout the year. The CBA recently completed its 60th anniversary season on March 27 with the Yakama Sun Kings defeating the Gary Steelheads in a best-of-three-game series. That series featured the CBA's 2006 Player of the Year, Anthony Goldwire (Sun Kings), and the CBA's 2006 Coach of the Year, Jaren Jackson (Steelheads).
