Buschini Purchased by Padres

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts learned Monday that outfielder Adam Buschini has been purchased by the San Diego Padres' organization.
Buschini was an American Association All-Star in 2012, hitting .354 with 14 home runs and 70 RBI in 96 games played. The Oakland, CA native ranked third in the league in batting average, second in runs scored (87), second in base hits (140), fourth in triples (eight), fifth in stolen bases (34), third in slugging percentage (.562), and first in total bases (222).
The fifth-year professional most recently starred this winter in the Australian Baseball League for the Canberra Cavalry. The 25-year-old Buschini hit .363 with 15 home runs and 50 RBI in 42 games to capture the ABL's triple crown.
Buschini was acquired from the Amarillo Sox on December 30th in exchange for outfielder David Peralta, and becomes the 16th player sold to a Major League organization in team history.
