Burton Returns to Asheville

GREENVILLE, S.C., December 31 – The Asheville Altitude of the NBA's National Basketball Development League has reacquired guard Nate Burton to fill the roster spot voided when Kirk Penney earned the first GATORADE Call-up of the season, according to announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Altitude coach Joey Meyer.

This is Burton's second stint in Asheville this season. The 6-4, 200-pound Georgetown ('01) product was waived by the Altitude on December 14 after averaging 4.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in nine games. He is expected to be in uniform Saturday when the Altitude visits the Huntsville Flight.
