SOUTH BEND, IN - The Midwest League has named the Burlington Bees the 2008 Midwest League Champions. Midwest League Bylaws stipulate that in the event of inclement weather, the President may change Championship series from a five-game series to a three-game series. The Burlington Bees led the series 2-0.
George Spelius, Midwest League President, announced the change today in South Bend and named the Burlington Bees the 2008 Midwest League Champions.
