THE SERIES: It's the fourth and fifth meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Wenatchee Wild. The two teams met on neural ice at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine Minnesota back in September that the Bulls were able to win 5-2. The scene shifted to Wenatchee Washington where the Wild won 4-2, but Amarillo was able to take the second one also be the same 4-2 score. Jacob Weatherly and Anton Martinsson each have a win under their belts in goal for the Bulls. Charlie Combs, Tristan Rostagno and Joey DiBenedetto have combined for seven goals versus the Wild. Jake Alghren and Brendan Harris each have three points for the Wild and Michael Buillon has the only win in goal.

HISTORICAL SERIES: This is the first trip ever to the Texas Panhandle for the Wenatchee Wild franchise. The Bulls and Wild have met mostly on neutral ice either at the North American Hockey League Showcase in Blaine Minnesota or the Robertson Cup National Championship Tournament. Through six all time meetings each team has won three times.

SOUTH DIVISION PLAYOFF UPDATE: Just three points separates the Amarillo Bulls from fifth place Wenatchee Wild and sixth place Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees heading into action this weekend. The Killer Bees play their final seven games on home ice starting with a pair against the Lone Star Brahmas. Once the Wild have left the Texas Panhandle, they return home for their final five games facing the Brahmas for two and the Topeka RoadRunners for three.

CROWDED AT THE TOP: It's become a very crowded South Division, heading into the final three weekends of the regular season. The Lone Star Brahmas enjoy a two point lead over the Topeka RoadRunners for second place. The Wichita Falls Wildcats are two back of Topeka for second and four back of Lone Star for first. The odd team, 3rd place, out will have to host a best-of-three first round series against the sixth place team when the South Division playoffs open in April.

STREAKING BULLS: The Amarillo Bulls have had two three game winning streaks and several two game streaks but never have been able to stretch it farther. That all changed on Wednesday night when the Bulls won their fourth in a row beating Wichita Falls for the first time at Kay Yeager Coliseum this season 5-4. The victory snapped a five game losing streak for the Bulls at the Coliseum with their last win coming during the South Division Semi-Final Series last year.
