THE SERIES: It's the third and fourth meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Corpus Christi IceRays. The two teams met back in October with the Bulls winning both 5-4 in overtime and then 6-3. Five players each have one goal for the Bulls, while Brady Crabtree has two. AJ Duggan leads the Bulls with four helpers. Forward Wes Michaud has two goals and three assists for five points, and Nic Laburn has two goals.

BULLS NOTES: The Amarillo Bulls snapped a three-game losing streak, following two victories in Odessa last weekend. It was the Bulls first South Division road wins of the season and it moved them to within two points of the sixth and final playoff spot. The big stat of the weekend was the Bulls having double of the power plays of their opponents and capitalizing on three power play goals. Friday's 4-3 win over Odessa saw the Bulls win their fifth when they outshoot an opponent.

ICERAYS CHIPS: Corpus Christi is just 1-4 in their last five games but have been solid on home ice with 11 victories. The IceRays still have no road victories. Their only two wins came at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota. The IceRays have the best power play in the North American Hockey but with they have also had issues surrendering a second league-worst five shorthanded goals against. The 27 power play goals the IceRays have scored ranks fourth in the NAHL.

ACROSS THE SOUTH: There is plenty of action in the South Division this weekend as the Wichita Falls Wildcats visit the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at State Farm Arena. The Wenatchee Wild venture back into South Division play to face the Topeka RoadRunners in the state of Kansas. The Lone Star Brahmas look to continue their hot play when they host the Odessa Jackalopes in North Richland Hills.
