October 2, 2021 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Austin Bruins News Release
AUSTIN, MN-ÃÂ In the first-ever trip to Riverside Arena for the North Iowa Bulls, they would walk away with the win by the final of 4-2.
North Iowa would strike first just three minutes into the game as Byron Hartley would score his first career NAHL goal as that would be the lone goal of the period as the Bulls would take a 1-0 lead to the locker room after 20 minutes of action. In a goal similar to last night, Hunter Bulger would sneak one past Bruins goalie, Niko Goich, of the face-off to give North Iowa a 2-0 lead. Five minutes later, Nick Catalano would leave a beautiful drop pass for Jens Richards to find as the Bruins would get on the board and cut the lead in half.
Carter Rapalje would find a pass from Chris Carrol to give North Iowa a 2 goal lead once again. Austin would battle back, though, as Jack Malinksi and Sutter Muzzati would find a wide-openÃÂ Marian Haborak in the high-slot to blast one past Bulls net-minders, Hunter Garvey. The Bulls, however, would tack on one last goal from Michael Mesic to take the final 4-2.
Up next for the Bruins is a short trip up to St. Cloud next Friday night to take on the Norsemen. You can catch all the action on HockeyTV or by tuning in on Power96's radio feed at KQPRFM.com
