Odessa Jackalopes News Release
ODESSA, TX - In a forgettable Thursday night clash, the Amarillo Bulls improved to 4-0-0 against the Odessa Jackalopes this year after a lopsided 8-2 final score at Ector County Coliseum. With the loss the Jacks fell to 7-11-2 on the season and remain alone in fifth place in the NAHL's South Division standings.
The Bulls got the scoring started early, tallying three markers within the first eight minutes of the game, chasing Jacks netminder Connor Hellebuyck midway through the first. In relief, Justin Davis stopped 30 of 35 shots in relief in just his fifth appearance of the season. The Jacks two goals came from Tyler Poulson midway through the second period, his third of the year and fifth point, from Wille Faust and Jalen Krogman and Aditya Karandikar who notched his second of 2011-12 on a feed from Tyler Mix on the power-play late in the third period.
Next up for the Jacks it's three consecutive games with the Texas Tornado starting with a road clash on Wednesday night at Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, TX.
The Odessa Jackalopes celebrate their 15th Anniversary in 2011-12 and drop the puck on their inaugural campaign as a member of the North American Hockey League.
