Belleville Bulls News Release
BELLEVILLE, ON - Just four days prior to the 2011 OHL Priority Selection, Belleville Bulls Head Coach and General Manager George Burnett has announced that the team has made a minor deal to acquire higher quality draft picks for the upcoming weekend.
Dealing with the Plymouth Whalers, the Bulls have received their own 4th round pick in 2011 along with Oshawa's 5th round selection. In exchange, the Bulls sent five 2011 draft picks south to Michigan. Included are Sudbury's 5th, Plymouth's 5th, Peterborough's 8th, Belleville's 11th and Windsor's 15th round picks.
"We wanted to narrow down our picks and ensure quality selections based on the depth of this year's draft," said Burnett following the deal. "We now sit with 14 picks of higher quality as opposed to the 17 we had before."
The Bulls will have the fifth overall pick in Saturday's OHL Priority Selection that begins at 9:00am. Fans can follow along all day for full draft coverage at www.bellevillebulls.com.
