
Bulls Host Game 2 Tonight Vs Texas

AMARILLO, TX - More hockey and tailgating is on the agenda tonight (Friday) as the Robertson Cup Playoffs continue at the Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The Amarillo Bulls look to continue their good play against the Texas Tornado and take a 2-0 series lead.
The 7-5 victory over Texas last night was the Bulls' sixth against the Tornado dating back to the season-series between the two teams. However, this game featured a combined 12 goals which has only happen one other time.
There is another big tailgate party planned in the Johnson Street Parking lot beginning at 5:45 pm. Fans can enjoy free beer, barbecue and live music from the band Tracking The Monolith. A large crowd enjoyed the first tailgate party with music from Five Floors Above.
Tickets prices for tonight's game remain unchanged from the regular season. Pick up your playoff tickets by calling the Bulls office at 806-242-1122, or visiting 901 South Buchanan. Tickets are also available through all Panhandle Ticket Outlets including United Supermarkets, the Civic Center Box Office or online at www.amarillobulls.com.
Fans can tune into the game live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com fueled by Sportsjuice beginning with Prelude To The Playoffs at 6:45 pm. Denis J. Puska brings you the exciting action at 7 pm.
The series will shift to Frisco for the third game next Friday, Apr. 8 at 7:30 pm at Dr. Pepper Arena. If a fourth game is necessary it would be played on Saturday, Apr. 9 also at 7:30 pm. Should a fifth and deciding game be needed, it would be played on Monday, Apr. 11 at 7 pm back at the Amarillo Civic Center.
GAME NOTES:
THE SERIES: Tonight Is Game 2 of the Best-Of-Five South Division Series between the Amarillo Bulls and the Texas Tornado. The Bulls collected the opening game of the series with a 7-5 triumph over the visiting Tornado. Sean Keane and Matt Johnson each scored twice, while Zack Smoot, Cody Freeman and TJ Sarcona added singles in support of goaltender Nikifor Szczerba. Amarillo rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the second period with four straight goals including one shorthanded and another on the power play. Texas rallied in the third period with three goals, but couldn't tie the game up in the final minute.
