Bulls Host Fan Appreciation And Texas Tornado Tonight

AMARILLO, TX - Fans will get a playoff preview tonight when the Amarillo Bulls entertain the Texas Tornado at 7 pm at The Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. Those two teams will begin their best-of-five NAHL South Division Semi-Final Series next Thursday, but tonight close out an exciting season-long series. All but two of the seven games have been decided by one goal.

The Bulls are also giving back with a big Fan Appreciation Night courtesy of Street Scion. Register for a chance to shoot and win a brand new car, as well as game worn-jerseys. Drawings for the Bulls 'Jerseys Off Our Back' promotion will be made throughout the night. Immediately after the game, On-ice and Off-Ice Awards will be handed out in The Corral, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Fans can tune into the action live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com beginning with The Bulls Warm Up Show Presented By Wayland Baptist University at 6:45 pm.

GAME NOTES:

TORNADO TWISTERS: The Texas Tornado are 5-0-2 in their last seven games, including two wins in a row. However, in that stretch, the Tornado were 1-1 with a shootout win in Corpus Christi and a shootout loss to Wichita Falls. The last regulation loss for Texas was against the Amarillo Bulls. Forward Taylor Herndon has been solid for Texas in their last five games with three goals and four assists for seven points. He is also plus nine. Nathan Sliwinski has four goals, while Marc Biggs and Mico Solorzano each have three markers.

BULLS BITES: What a stretch it has been for forward TJ Sarcona in his last five games. The young forward has potted four goals and added one assist. Mitch Rogge and Zack Smoot each have added two goals and two assists for four points. Smoot and Sarcona each have game winning goals for the Bulls in their most recent victories. This is Bulls 58th and final regular season game and they are looking for their 19th win on home ice and 37th overall. The first year franchise has put together many impressive numbers including 23 wins when leading after 40 minutes and 22 when scoring the game's first goal. The team was also able to move into the top 10 in Penalty Killing and in Shots on Goal.
