Bulls Attend Medigas Celebrity Golf Classic

CORBYVILLE, ON - It was a great day for golf on Saturday, and several Belleville Bulls were on hand to support an outstanding charitable cause. The 2014 Medigas Celebrity Golf Classic teed off Saturday morning in support of children facing physical challenges. The 27th annual tournament also raises funds to assist young local students in the advancement of their health care studies in the form of grants and bursaries.

Bulls Charlie Graham, Justin Lemcke, Adam Laishram, Jake Marchment, Alex Yuill and Stephen Harper were at Trillium Wood Golf Club to support the cause along with Bulls coaches George Burnett and Jake Grimes. Mascots Bullie and Ringo were also in attendance meeting kids and entertaining guests throughout the morning.

A cheque for a total of $122,000 raised through the event was presented to the Medigas "Our Kids Golf" charity to support children who face physical challenges in their lives.

"I've been enjoying the offseason and am chomping at the bit to get into a fresh schedule," said Bulls goaltender Charlie Graham. "It's nice to be back together with some of the guys and play a round of golf for a good cause."

Other notable celebrities on hand were former Bull and Vancouver Canuck Shawn Matthias, ex-Toronto Blue Jays Kelly Gruber and Al Woods as well as former NHL talent in Stephane Richer, Matthew Barnaby, Rob Ray and Dale Hawerchuk.
