Bulls Announce New Sonic Sunday Promotion Game

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Bulls announced today (Tuesday) a new date for the Sonic Sunday promotion. The 4th annual Sonic Sunday will take place on Sunday, December 29th at 6 pm when the Amarillo Bulls host the Lone Star Brahmas at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center.

Tickets will be available on the day of the game starting at 4 pm at either the Main Box Office or the Box Office located on the Southeast Corner (Gate 8) of the Amarillo Civic Center. Fans can pick up whatever tickets they need and proceed inside or return in time for puck drop. There will be live music to entertain fans inside the Civic Center plus several opportunities to win terrific prizes from both Sonic and the Bulls.

"We appreciate the fans patience on the postponement of the original Sonic Free Sunday due to weather problems and we're excited about the new date," said Bulls Vice President and General Manager Rick Matchett. "This is a great opportunity for fans to come out and watch the best team in the NAHL and thanks to Sonic they can attend for free! We ask everyone to bring their family, friends and neighbors to come out and have a great time as we fill the Budweiser Bullpen!"

There is still no word regarding a possible make-up date for the postponed contest between the Odessa Jackalopes and the Amarillo Bulls. This game had to be rescheduled due to travel and road conditions. Both teams will spend time working out an amicable solution and game date that best fits both schedules.

An eight game home stand faces off for the Amarillo Bulls on Friday at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center against the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7 pm. That night Santa Claus will make his appearance at the game and fans can get a picture with him prior to face-off.

On Saturday, it's the annual Toys for Tots Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or Stuffed Animal to the Game, when the Bulls score their first goal throw the toys onto the ice. The Teddy Bears and Stuffed Animals will be collected and given to the Toys for Tots program.

Tickets are available at the Bulls Office located at 301 South Polk, Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket Outlets including United Supermarkets or online at www.panhandletickets.com.
