Green Bay, Wis. - An exciting game at Joannes Stadium as the Bullfrogs defeated the Bombers 9-7. After trailing early, the Bullfrogs were able to make a comeback as they tied the ballgame at seven in the sixth inning. Ultimately, the Bullfrogs pushed across two runs in the bottom of the eighth to earn the victory.

The Bombers jumped on the Bullfrogs early as they scored five runs in the top of the first inning. Dakota Klein (Texas A&M) struggled on the mound as the left-hander was only able to record one out in the inning. Daniel Patzlaff (Oregon) and Jarred Watkins (Central Michigan) began the game with a walk. A Christian Helsel (Penn State) loaded the bases. With one out, Klein walked Ryan Dorow (Adrian College) and Dean Miller (Riverside CC) to score the first two runs of the game. Connor Hock (Notre Dame) came in for Klein in hopes of slowing down the Bombers attack. He hit the first batter he faced, Cody Young (Austin Peay), and gave up a two run double to Nick Podkul (Notre Dame).

The Bullfrogs headed into the bottom of the fifth down seven runs. After only recording one hit up to that point, the Bullfrogs exploded for six runs. The inning began with a triple by Laren Eustace (Indiana). He scored on a groundout by Matt Hoeg (Iowa Western CC). Brian Lees (Southeast Missouri State) and Chris Botsoe (Louisville) reached with singles to begin a rally for the Bullfrogs. The Bullfrogs loaded the bases after a walk by Parker Coss (UC-Irvine) and a hit by pitch from Jonah Davis (UC-Berkeley) drove in the second run of the inning. With two outs, Quincy Nieporte (Florida State) sent a single into right center to score two more runs. The Bullfrogs scored two more runs before the inning ended off of Hill Alexander (Midland) and Eustace singles.

Down 6-7, the Bullfrogs tied the ballgame in the sixth on an RBI single by Austin Clemons (Louisville) to score Botsoe from third. Connor Hock was able to quiet the Bombers offense as he threw four and two-third innings out of the bullpen. This was Hock ' s first appearance in a Bullfrogs uniform as he allowed two runs on four hits and struck out four.

In the bottom of the eight, the Bullfrogs pushed across the go ahead run. With runners at second and third, Coss laid down a sacrifice bunt. Max Ritchie fielded the bunt but sent his throw past the first baseman. Botsoe came around and scored the Bullfrogs eighth run. The Bullfrogs would extend their lead in the eight as Hill Alexander (Midland) drove in Clemons with an RBI single.

BJ Sabol (Indiana), who came on in the top of the eight, pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his second victory of the season. The Bullfrogs move to 6-6 in the second half as they begin a three game break.
