
Bullfrogs Close out First Half with Two against Woodchucks

Green Bay, Wis. - The Green Bay Bullfrogs first half of the season will come to a close on Monday, as the Bullfrogs (15-18) take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks (18-14) in a home-and-home doubleheader on Monday. Game one will be at Joannes Stadium in Green Bay before the two teams head to Wausau, Wis. to play game two at 7:05 pm.
The Bullfrogs are coming off of a series split with the Duluth Huskies on Saturday and Sunday. Duluth won on Saturday before Green Bay won Sunday's game by a score of 4-3. The Bullfrogs scored all four runs in the fifth inning on Sunday and received a strong starting pitching performance from starter Roberto Baroniel (Nova Southeastern). Baroniel threw three innings and gave up only three runs (two earned) on three hits to pick up the win for the Bullfrogs.
Monday's two games with be the fifth and sixth games that the Bullfrogs and Woodchucks have played against each other so far this season. Out of the four games they have already played, each team has had two home games, but Wisconsin has won all four meetings.
Green Bay will start Garrett Harrison (St. Cloud State) on the mound in game one. The six-foot-five left-hander will be making his sixth start of the season on Monday. In five starts so far, Harrison owns a 2-2 record with a 4.97 ERA. His most recent win came on June 10th against the La Crosse Loggers when he threw six innings, giving up two runs on six hits while striking out five.
The Woodchucks Robby Medel (TCU) will start at pitcher in game one for Wisconsin. The six-foot-four freshman is 2-0 on the season with a 2.82 ERA. Medel has made nine appearances (three starts) for the Woodchucks, throwing 28 and two-thirds innings. His first win of the season came one June 18th against the Bullfrogs when he threw six innings and gave up only two runs on eight hits to Green Bay.
First pitch for game one is scheduled for 12:05 pm from Joannes Stadium in Green Bay.
