Bulldogs Take 2-0 Series Lead, Head to Binghamton

The Hamilton Bulldogs took a 2-0 series lead in their AHL Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday night as they defeated the Binghamton Senators 2-1 at Copps Coliseum.
Raffi Torres opened the scoring at the 13:59 mark of the first period for the Bulldogs with Chad Hinz and Bill Lindsay earning assists. Jason Ward would then score the game-winner for Hamilton in the second period (8:20) with assists going to Mike Komisarek and Ron Hainsey.
Josh Langfeld scored the lone goal for Binghamton.
Eric Fichaud made 22 saves to earn his fifth win of the playoffs for the Bulldogs. Cayuga native Ray Emery stopped 24 of 26 shots for the Senators.
On the power play the Bulldogs scored one power play goal on five opportunities. The Senators were 0 for 3 with the man-advantage. Hamilton has scored one power play goal in each of their last three games.
The Hamilton Bulldogs will travel to Binghamton to take on the Senators in Game #3 of the AHL Eastern Conference Finals on Monday, May 19th.
