Buffalo Stampede Sign Center Garrett Schmidt

Prior to their upcoming season home opener at Canisius College's Koessler Athletic Center, the Buffalo Stampede have signed center Garrett Schmidt to the roster. Schmidt, a 6'11" 275 center, played his collegiate ball at Urbana University (NAIA). His prior professional experience includes stints with the Yamill Highflyers and Central Oregon Hotshots of the IBL. To make room for Schmidt, the Stampede have released Jonathan Battle.
The Stampede's home opener on January 9 will feature their in-state rivals, the two-time PBL champion Rochester Razorsharks. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. The Stampede will then face the Maryland GreenHawks on Sunday afternoon at the Koessler Center, with tip-off at 2:00 p.m.
