October 13, 2015 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Buffalo Bandits News Release
BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 13, 2015) --- The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team will host a youth lacrosse league at First Niagara Center this coming fall and winter.
The Buffalo Bandits Youth Lacrosse League will have divisions for 18U, 15U and 13U players, with four teams participating in each division. The games will be played the weekends of Nov. 28 and 29, Dec. 5 and 6, Jan. 9, Jan. 23, Feb. 6, and Feb. 20.
A $2,000 entry fee per team guarantees all teams six round-robin games and at least two playoff games, and also includes 24 ticket vouchers to 2016 Bandits home games. Each team will also receive a Bandits jersey signed by the entire team to be used for fundraising purposes. Teams are limited to a maximum roster of 20 players. Each player will also be given a Buffalo Bandits Youth Lacrosse League jersey.
Games will be played under modified NLL rules and will consist of two 20-minute, running-time halves with the exception of the last two minutes of the second half.
The winners of each division will receive a championship hat, t-shirt, and medal. The winning teams will also be honored on the floor at the Bandits' Feb. 20 home game against Georgia.
If players are interested in the league but do not have a team, they may sign up for the league as a free agent and be added to a roster if there is space available. No free agent spot is guaranteed.
