Nashville SC News Release
PHILADELPHIA - Ropapa Mensah made his second consecutive start in league play, and he made a tremendous impact by scoring the match-winning goal in a 4-1 victory over Bethlehem Steel FC. He was named the Budweiser Man of the Match for his efforts.
With the match level at 1-1 in the 63' minute, Lebo Moloto looked up with the ball and lofted a pass forward to Mensah, who was one-on-one with the keeper. Mensah slowed up and beat the Bethlehem goalkeeper with a hard shot that was well out of his reach. Throughout the match, Mensah was a menace in the attacking third, putting three of his four shots on target.
Mensah's goal was his third of the season to complement the two assists he has earned so far in 2019.
Nashville SC wraps up its four-match road trip next Sunday when it takes on Hartford Athletic. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CT.
