Bucs Name Starting Quarterback for Playoff Game

(Lake Charles, La.) Louisiana Swashbucklers Head Coach Darnell Lee has named Quarterback Chris Mayabb as the Bucs starter on Monday night, when the team travels to Richmond, Va. in the PIFL semi-final playoff game.

Mayabb, (6'3" 225 lbs) a graduate from Spillman College is coming off his best performance as a player in the PIFL. In last Saturday's 75-70 victory over the Alabama Hammers, Mayabb got the start and proceeded to complete 19-26 passes for 289 yards and eight touchdowns. That win also secured the #3 seed for the Bucs, which still gives them a shot of hosting the Championship Game on June 30th.

"Chris was outstanding on Saturday night" said Head Coach Darnell Lee. "He brought back the chemistry to the offense that we hadn't had the last four weeks. I have full confidence in him."

The game is Monday night, June 25th, and is slated for a 6pm kickoff from the Richmond Coliseum. The game came be heard LIVE on the internet at both labucs.com and kezmonline.com. John Goodman; the Voice of the Bucs, will have the Play by Play duties.
