Bucs Home Opener This Saturday

The Des Moines Buccaneers open the 2023-24 home slate at Buccaneer Arena this Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. against the Sioux Falls Stampede.
The Bucs kick things off with a Fareway Tailgate Party in the parking lot beginning at 4:00 p.m. and wrapping up 15 minutes before puck drop. The tailgate party will feature live music from Robbie Michael Band, and free hot dogs or brats from Fareway (while supplies last) with proof of game ticket. Beverages will be on sale in the parking lot.
Fans can take home two giveaways from the Bucs home opener, starting with a pocket schedule including the full season schedule and promotions. These will be available around the arena, at ticket windows, fan relations and concession stands.
After the game, fans can grab a reusable grocery bag on the way out, from our new partners at IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union. IHMVCU recently opened its Merle Hay Financial Center in Des Moines. On October 7th, IHMVCU is hosting a tailgate party with special guest, former Iowa Hawkeye Pat Angerer, where he'll be on hand for photos and autographs. Plus, enjoy free food and prizes.

NEW THIS SEASON
- Buccaneer Arena is a cash-free facility. Credit/debit cards and touchless payments are accepted. Fans with cash may exchange it for a Buccaneers Gift Card at the Ticket Office Door. Please don't use the ticket line for cash exchange, it will be faster to go to the ticket door.
- Doors will open one hour prior to puck drop. For every home game, doors are opening fifteen minutes earlier this season to allow for ticket lines to move faster and give fans more time to purchase concessions, visit the Bucs Shop, and watch pregame warmups.

The Buccaneers picked up a point in the opening weekend in Pittsburgh at the USHL Fall Classic, playing the conference leading Fargo Force to overtime in the weekend finale. Des Moines returns home to open the season against Sioux Falls, which is 1-0-1 after the opening weekend.
