LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, will host the Allen Americans Friday, November 11th and Saturday, November 12th.

Friday, November 11th Pronto Insurance and the Laredo Bucks present "Local Heroes Night". Pronto Insurance, along with Texas Roadhouse, have joined the Laredo Bucks to say thank you to all the brave men and women who serve and protect our community each and every day. "Texas Roadhouse wants to let the community know we support the troops, as well as all the brave men in women in uniform. We wanted to honor them on this special night and that is why we decided to get involved," stated David Gonzales, Store Manager of Texas Roadhouse. Both Pronto Insurance and Texas Roadhouse will be on hand during the game to show support to these men and women. Over 1000 tickets have been donated to the local Fire, Police, Military and Border Patrol Officers and their families. The first intermission will feature a tug of war competition between the Zapata County Sheriff's Office against the Laredo Fire Department.

The Laredo Bucks are encouraging all fans attending the Friday November 11th game to bring a teddy bear, or other stuffed animal. The animals will be "tossed" onto the ice during the first intermission. All teddy bears and stuffed animals will be donated to Jugeton's International.

Saturday, November 12th, the game will begin at 4pm. The Laredo Bucks are hosting a College Fair Presented by Texas A&M Laredo Prospective Student Center during the game. The College Fair will begin when doors open at 3pm. There will be different colleges from around the state participating in the fair. "This is a great opportunity for the local students to explore their future academic opportunities. We love that we are able to support this event that involves the local community, while also enjoying a Bucks game at the same time," says Aimee Leal, from the Texas A&M Prospective Student Center. After the game the Bucks will be having a post-game skate with the players. Fans will have an opportunity to skate with their favorite Laredo Bucks players immediately following the game.

The Laredo Bucks, after their defeat of the Arizona Sundogs, head into the weekend with a 3-4 record, tied for fourth place in the Berry Conference. The Allen Americans are 3-2-2, in third place, only 2 points ahead of the Bucks. This will be the first two games, out of the thirteen game series, for the two teams.
