
Oilers Trade Baxter to Dayton

TULSA, OK - Defenseman Matt Baxter has been traded to the Dayton Gems the Tulsa Oilers announced on Thursday. Baxter was dealt to Dayton for future considerations.
A 6'3" 190 pound defenseman, Baxter attended training camp with the Oilers but started the season on injured reserve and did not appear in a regular season game for the team.
The native of Courtice, Ontario played four years of college hockey at the University of Alabama-Huntsville and played in three games last season with the Reading Royals of the ECHL.
The Gems are in the Turner Conference of the CHL and have a record of 2-2-2 through the first six games of the season. Dayton will host Evansville in back to back games coming up on Friday and Saturday.
The Oilers, 4-3-1 on the season, will travel to Missouri for a 7:05pm start on Friday night, followed by home games on Saturday and Sunday against Quad City and Wichita.
