
Bucks To Strut The Runway On Sunday In Fundraiser

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will try and take on a new challenge Sunday Night (August 3rd ) as several players and front office members will be models in the first ever "Noche De Estrellas" fundraising fashion show, hosted by Stein Mart. The event will take place this Sunday August 3rd at 6:30pm at the Laredo Civic Center Auditorium. Proceeds from the show will go to the Dignity U. Wear Foundation, a non-profit organization providing brand new clothing to those in need. There is a $20 donation to attend the event, call Maria Guajardo at 956-712-9151 for tickets.
Hitting the runway and modeling for the Bucks will be Head Coach and General Manager Terry Ruskowski, Jeff Bes, Serge Dube, Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Bryan Benway, and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks.
There will be about 20 models in the show, including Laredo Mayor Raul Salinas, plus other local celebrities and city leaders. The models will strut their stuff on the runway and showcase Stein Marts latest fall fashions during the show.
"We are very proud to partner up and be a part of this great event", said Ruskowski. "This is such a worth while cause for the great city of Laredo, we cannot wait to help out and walk on the runway in this event".
Since 2005 Dignity U. Wear has been providing brand new clothing to the less fortunate and low-income individuals served by Christ Miracle Center in Laredo. So far $48,000 of brand new clothing has been provided to individuals served by the center by Dignity U Wear.
"This is what makes our job as a part of our organization so gratifying, that we can be a part of this fundraising effort", Ruskowski said.
When asked about his modeling skills coach Rosco joked, "it's been quite a long time since i've been on a runway, I just hope I don't hurt anybody".

Since 2001 the Laredo Bucks take pride that they have been heavily involved in the Laredo community. The Bucks front office, coaching staff, players and Bucky have appeared at over 280 events in 2008, and look forward to many more.

*Open House August 23rd At LEC*
The Bucks will hold their annual Open House will be held on Saturday August 23rd, from 11am-4pm at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The event is free and open to the public.
This is your first chance to meet a few of this season's Bucks players, as some of them will be on hand signing autographs, as will Bucks head coach and general manager Terry Ruskowski. There will be behind the scene tours of the Bucks new bus, locker room, and the rest of the LEC. There will also be prizes, giveaways, free hot dogs and hamburgers, face painting for the kids and much more!
*Bucks Season Ticket Referral Program*
For every new season ticket that is purchased from a referral, the current season ticket holder that referred them will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Bucks team store. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of referrals that an existing season ticket holder can make.
For example, if a current season ticket holder refers a person who buys four new seats for the 2008-09 season, they will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Bucks team store.
