Bucks To Hold Playoff Preview Show At Hal's
March 20, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will hold a playoff preview show at Hal's Landing on Monday March 24th at 7pm. The show will air live on the Bucks radio station Norteno 1490-AM, and be streamed live on laredobucks.com. The Bucks invite all fans and members of the media to attend the show, which will be interactive.
The show will be hosted by Bucks play-by-play announcer Bryan Benway, and feature interviews with Bucks head coach/GM Terry Ruskowski and players. Fans will have the opportunity to ask questions live on the air to coach Rosco and the players, as they look back at the regular season, and preview the Bucks run towards a third CHL President's Cup Championship.
"We have the best fans in the CHL, and they deserve a show like this where they can ask questions of coach and our players, and to get a feel about the postseason run", Benway said. "This will also help create a buzz for the playoffs, and it's in a great location with Hal's being right next door to the LEC."
Going into Friday's home and home series against Rio Grande Valley the Bucks still need just one point to clinch home ice in the Southern Conference playoffs. The next Laredo win or Arizona loss will clinch the South for the Bucks.
The Bucks know that game one of the Southern Conference Semi-Finals will be at the LEC on Saturday March 29th, with game two Monday March 31st. What they don't know is who they will be playing. Laredo, Arizona, Odessa, New Mexico, and Austin have all punched their tickets to the Southern Conference playoffs. The Bucks or Sundogs will be the number one seed, with Odessa and New Mexico battling for the third spot, Austin will be the fifth seed no matter what happens this weekend.
