The Bucks lost game four 4-3 Saturday night, to even the series up at two wins apiece. The Bucks fell behind 3-0 in the second period and fought back to tie the contest up early in the third, before the Sundogs re-took the lead for good just 3:20 into the third period when Dusty Collins notched his second goal of the game. Laredo lost despite out shooting the Sundogs 39-24.
The series has been very competitive thus far as each team has scored 14 goals, and each team winning one game on their opponents home ice.
Laredo lost their first game ever at Tim's Toyota Center Saturday night, falling to 4-1 on the Sundogs home ice. All four games in Arizona this season (including playoffs) have been one-goal contests, with the Bucks winning three of four tilts.
Chris Stanley scored a goal and handed out an assist Saturday night, and leads the Bucks in playoff scoring with 13 points (6-7=13). Six of Stanley's 13 points have come on special teams, as he has three power-play goals, and three power-play assists.
The Bucks have kept the Sundogs power-play unit in check in the last three games of the series, killing off 22 of the last 24 Arizona man advantages.
Laredo has also held Arizona's top two scorers quiet in the last two games of the series. Cory Urquhart (11-7=18) and Alex Leavitt (3-15=18) have not registered a point in either games three or four in Arizona. Mark Kolanos and Dusty Collins have done damage in the last two games for the Sundogs. Kolanos (2-2=4) has four points in the last two contests, while Collins (2-0=2) scored two goals in game four.
The last time the Bucks played game five of a series that was tied at two games apiece was last year's President's Cup Finals. Laredo lost to Colorado 4-0 at home to trail the series 3-2, and lost game six on the road 4-3.
After tonight the series will return to Laredo for game six on Friday night at the LEC, with either the Bucks or Sundogs one win away from the President's Cup Finals.
