PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will take on the Arizona Sundogs Friday and Saturday, in a re-match of last season's Southern Conference Finals. Both games in Arizona will start at 8:05pm Laredo time.

The Bucks and Sundogs will face off for the first time since game seven of last season's Southern Conference Finals, where the Sundogs won in Laredo 6-1. Arizona went on to win their first President's Cup Championship.

There are six Bucks players, and nine Sundogs players left on each team's roster who played in that playoff series.

The Bucks will be playing their first road game since November 1, when they lost 3-1 at Rio Grande Valley. Laredo returns to the road after going 5-2 on their season-high seven game home stand.

The Bucks fell to Mississippi Tuesday night 5-3, as they lost for the first time this season when leading after two periods (6-1). The Riverkings scored three third period goals against the Bucks, to snap Laredo's five game winning streak.

Laredo has played 11 of their first 15 games at home thus far this season.

Whenever the Bucks travel to Arizona to face the Sundogs, the games are tight. Five of the six meetings between the two teams at Tim's Toyota Center have been decided by one goal, with Laredo holding a 4-2 record. The Bucks first two losses ever in Arizona were games four and five of the Conference Finals.

Jeff Bes is on a tear, as he has a CHL high 13-game point streak, and has scored in 14 of the Bucks 15 games so far this season (4-23=27).

The Sundogs enter this weekend's play in second place in the Southwest Division, behind Odessa. Off-season acquisistion Joel Irving leads Arizona in scoring with 19 points (12-10=22).

The Bucks will return home December 4-5, when they host Rio Grande Valley and Arizona.
