Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League were once again out in the community last week.Here is a list of where Bucks coaches, players, front office staff, and Bucky were last week, and where they are going this week. The Bucks were honored to take part as models in the first ever "Noche De Estrellas" fundraising fashion show Sunday night, hosted by Stein Mart. The event was held at the Laredo Civic Center Auditorium, with proceeds going to the Dignity U. Wear Foundation, a non-profit organization providing brand new clothing to those in need.
At the conclusion of the show the Bucks organization was presented a certificate by Stein Mart for their continued contributions to the Laredo community.
Representing the Bucks as models were Head Coach and General Manager Terry Ruskowski, Jeff Bes, Serge Dube, Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Bryan Benway , and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks .

Joining the Bucks as models in the show, Laredo Mayor Raul Salinas, plus other local celebrities and city leaders. The models strutted their stuff on the runway and showcased Stein Marts latest fall fashions during the show.

WHERE WE'VE BEEN (July 28th-August 3rd):
Monday, July 28th: Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks and Group Sales Executive JR Rathbun attended the Gateway Rotary at Embassy Suites. Monday-Tuesday July 28th & 29th: Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Bryan Benway was a guest Sports Anchor on Pro 8 News at 10pm. Wednesday, July 30th: Director of Corporate Partnerships Donald Thomson and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks attended The Laredo Rotary Club meeting at the Holiday Inn. Wednesday, July 30th: Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady and Group Sales Executve JR Rathbun attended The Laredo Next Generation Rotary meeting at Hal's Landing. Thursday, July 31st: Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks and Group Sales Executive JR Rathbun volunteered for Operation Lone Star 2008 at United South High School. Thursday, July 31st: Director of Corporate Partnerships Donald Thomson, and the Ticket Sales Department (Rory Brady, Keith Moore and JR Rathbun) attended the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Mixer at the Laredo Country Club. Friday, August 1st: Director of Corporate Partnerships Donald Thomson, Group Sales Executive JR Rathbun, Accountant Beto Oliveros and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks attended the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for My Lil' Big School. Sunday, August 3rd: Head Coach and General Manager Terry Ruskoski, Jeff Bes, Serge Dube, Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Bryan Benway and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks participated in the Noche de Estrellas Fashion Show, at the Laredo Civic Center. Director of Game OperationsMario Mecaroni, Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady and Group Sales Executive JR Rathbun were also in attendance. The fashion show benefitted Dignity U Wear.

Tuesday, August 5th: Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady, Director of Corporate Partnerships Donald Thomson, Account Executive Kyle Reynolds and Group Sales Executive JR Rathbun will attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Texas Wings & Barbecue, 815 Salinas in the Hamilton Hotel, at 5pm.
Wednesday, August 6th: Director of Corporate Partnerships Donald Thomson will attend The Laredo Rotary Club meeting, at the Holiday Inn, at 12pm.
Wednesday, August 6th: Director of Ticket Sales Rory Brady will attend the Toastmasters Meeting, at the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Boardroom, at 12pm.
Wednesday, August 6th: Director of Ticket SalesRory Brady and Account Executive Kyle Reynolds will attend The Laredo Next Generation Rotary Meeting, at Hal's Landing, at 7pm.
Thursday, August 7th: Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks, Group Sales Executive JR Rathbun and Director of Corporate Partnerships Donald Thomson will
attend the Bienvenidos Meeting, at the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Boardroom,
at 12pm.
Friday, August 8th: Sales Coordinator Arturo Ortega, Director of Corporate Partnerships Donald Thomson and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks will attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Estafeta, at 5802 Bob Bullock C-1, at 12pm.
Since 2001 the Laredo Bucks take pride that they have been heavily involved in the Laredo community. The Bucks front office, coaching staff, players and Bucky have appeared at over 280 events in 2008, and look forward to many more.
