Bucks Climb While Rattlers & Shock Stay on Frisco's Heels
June 24, 2021 - Indoor Football League (IFL) News Release
Now halfway through the 2021 season, the Indoor Football League presented its Week 10 Coaches Poll. The coaches panel is represented by the 11 head coaches across the league.
The Bismarck Bucks move back into the top-five after winning their meeting with the Green Bay Blizzard, 50-29. That marks back-to-back wins for Bismarck as they prepare for the Sioux Falls Storm, who are looking to get back in the win column coming off a two-game losing streak.
The Spokane Shock and Arizona Rattlers continue to vie for the number two spot as they have done for the past three weeks. The teams will attempt to settle to matter this Friday night when they face off in for the first time this season. The Rattlers come in with No. 1 ranked offense in the IFL averaging 46.3 points per game, while the Shock have the No. 1 ranked defense in the league, holding opponents to 31 points per game.
Each head coach's ballot includes his ranking of the IFL teams, with first-place votes earning one point, second place two points, and so on to 11 points for 11th-ranked team. The teams are then listed in order, with the team with the fewest points on top.
The entire Coaches Poll is as follows:
Frisco Fighters (4-0)
Arizona Rattlers (4-1)
Spokane Shock (4-1)
Iowa Barnstormers (4-2)
Bismarck Bucks (5-3)
Sioux Falls Storm (3-3)
Duke City Gladiators (2-3)
Massachusetts Pirates (4-3)
Green Bay Blizzard (3-4)
Tucson Sugar Skulls (1-4)
