LAREDO, Texas - The 2005 Southern Conference Champion Laredo Bucks announced today that they will wear Texas A&M Aggie hockey jerseys on Thursday, October 13th, when they take on the Austin Ice Bats in a CHL pre-season game at the Arctic Wolf Ice Center in College Station. Laredo Bucks season ticket holders enjoy many exclusive offers that are available only to season ticket holders, such as a personalized ticket representative, name in the program, and the ability to redeem unused tickets. The A&M jerseys will be auctioned off live after the game with the profits benefiting Aggie Hockey.
"Everybody is very acutely aware of the rivalry between College Station and Austin," Bucks Chairman Glenn Hart said. "We are going to have some fun with the new rivalry on the ice on October 13th. The Artic Wolf Ice Center is a big supporter of Texas A&M hockey and we are happy to be their host. The Aggies have had a hockey team for years, but they've always had to go other places to practice. This will be their first season with a home rink and we hope our support will help improve their program dramatically."
The Bucks will wear their regular jerseys in the first and third periods, but will wear the white with maroon trim Aggie jerseys in the second period.
Admission is $20 and the Ice Center can accommodate 1,000 spectators. Private boxes are also available for the game. For tickets or more information call the Arctic Wolf Ice Center at (979) 693-3900.
Training camp for the Bucks opens this coming Monday, October 10th. The CHL regular season will start on October 21st. The Bucks open at home on October 29th.
