Bucks, Americans Open Series Friday In Allen

ALLEN, TX- The Laredo Bucks and Allen Americans will open their 2010 Central Hockey League Southern Conference semifinals series Friday night at the Allen Event Center. Game time is 7:30pm. The Bucks will hold the official road watch party for game one at Hal's Landing. The party, which is presented by Westwind Homes, will start at 7pm and Hal's will show the game on the outdoor patio on a large projection screen. There will be specials and Bucks staff members will be on hand giving fans a chance to win prizes and buy tickets for game three at Laredo Energy Arena on Tuesday March 30th.

The Bucks and Americans will meet for the first time ever in a playoff series in Allen's first year of existence. The Bucks have made the CHL playoffs in each of their first eight seasons posting an all-time mark of 60-37.
Laredo went 1-2-2 in the regular season against the Americans with the lone win coming in a 6-1 romp on March 4th at Laredo Energy Arena. Two of the Bucks three overtime losses during the regular season came against the Americans (Oct. 24th in Laredo, Jan. 2nd in Allen). Allen outscored Laredo a combined 20-19 in their five games during the regular season.
The Bucks will play Friday's game one with a full lineup of 18 players for the first time since March 10th against Corpus Christi. Laredo played their last six regular season games shorthanded due to injures (4-0-2 record).
Laredo has seven players on their roster who have won at least one CHL President's Cup Championship (Igor Agarunov, Brent Cullaton, Jeff Bes, Todd Griffith, Paul Elliott, Adam Rivet, Mike Looby) with Cullaton and Bes being a part of both Laredo Championship teams.
Game two is set for Saturday night at 7:30pm at the Allen Event Center.
