Bucks Add Center and 5 Try-Outs to Training Camp Roster

LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, announced Thursday that they have signed Jason Reese for the 2011-2012 season. They have also added five players on try-out agreements to the Training Camp roster.

Jason Reese is 23 years old from Gresham, Oregon. Last season Reese played in Germany.

The 5'10", 180 pound center appeared in 28 regular season games last season. He scored 11 goals and had 18 assists. Reese also appeared in 9 playoff games with the ESC Moskitos Essen, where he had 8 goals and 2 assists.

"Jason is a very talented center with great vision on the ice," says Head Coach Serge Dube. "He had a very good junior career and I expect the same at the pro level."

The Bucks have added a pair of defensemen, two forwards and a goalie on Try-Agreements to their 2011-2012 training camp roster.

Tyler Stitt is 6'4", 195 lb, 25 year old defensemen from Iroquais Falls, Ontario.

George Dunn is 6'4", 200 lb, 21 year old defensemen from Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Jeffrey Verreault is 5'10", 180lb, 21 year old forward from Azilda, Ontario.

Deven Stillar is 5'11" 188 lb, 21 year old forward from Sudbury, Ontario.

Nicholas Gigone is 5'11", 161 lb, 21 year old goalie from Fort Erie, Ontario.

"I am very excited to see what the players signed who signed Try-Out Agreements are capable of," states Head Coach Dube. "They all have very good recommendations and are all excited to come down to Laredo."

The Laredo Bucks now have 21 players, with the addition of Jason Reese, signed to contracts for the 2011-2012 season. The additional 5 players signed on Try-Out Agreements take the total to 26 players attending the 2011-2012 Laredo Bucks Training Camp.

EXHIBITION GAME FRIDAY OCTOBER 14TH:

The Laredo Bucks will host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees Friday, October 14th at 7:30pm. All tickets, including season ticket holder seats, are only $5. All proceeds from the game will go to the United Way, benefitting the South Texas Food Bank. The Bucks are also encouraging fans to bring non-perishable food items to also be donated to the South Texas Food Bank.
