Bucks 2007 "Open House" This Saturday

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will hold their 2007 "Open House" this Saturday August 4th, from 11am to 4pm at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
This is your first chance to meet a few of this season's Bucks players, as some of them will be on hand signing autographs, as will Bucks head coach/GM Terry Ruskowski. There will be behind the scene tours of the Bucks locker room, and the rest of the LEC, as well as prizes, giveaways, free hot dogs and hamburgers, face painting for the kids and much more! Highlights of the 2006-07 season will be shown on the Video Tron throughout the afternoon.
"We always look forward to the Open House, it's the one time during the entire season that fans will have complete access to the entire LEC, and get to see places they wouldn't normally get to", said Bucks President John Beckelhymer.
The Laredo Animal Protective Society Animal Shelter will be present at the Open House once again this year. Adoption fees will run $70 for dogs and $45 for cats. The fee includes rabies shots, distemper shots, spay or neuter, plus a bath and dip. Last year over 20 dogs and cats found new homes at the Bucks open house. The Bucks staff will be on hand giving fans a chance to purchase new Bucks merchandise, as well as inventory clearance items, including specialty jersey's for only $40! At the Open House fans can also purchase single-game, season, and group tickets, and the Bucks staff will answer any questions you may have about payment plans and options.
"We are excited about the upcoming season", Beckelhymer said, "We want our fans to come to Open House and talk about all the exciting things we have in store for this year".
Saturday is also the deadline for submitting your applications to be a part of this season's Lady Bucks Dance team. You can download your application at www.laredobucks.com/team/dance. Bring your completed application, as well as all other materials needed to the LEC during the open house for your chance to join the squad.
The open house is also a chance to meet some of the Bucks corporate partners, as some of them will be on hand showcasing their company. You can also sign up to get the best seat in town for $34 a month and enter to win a trip for two (2) to Las Vegas.
The Bucks will open training camp October 8th at the LEC, and will open the 2007-08 season on the road on October 19th, with the home opener scheduled for October 26th. The full 2007-08 regular season schedule is expected to be released in early August, keeping checking www.laredobucks.com for updates.
