Brooklyn Kings Lose in Triple Overtime

The Brooklyn Kings fell to 2-2 and the Dodge City Legend improved to 3-2 after Dodge City handed the Kings a 105-101 loss in triple overtime. Cliff Hawkins dropped 15 points and grabbed 5 boards in the first half to give the Legend a 41-38 halftime lead. Hawkins hit on 4 of 5 from three point range in the half. Obadiah Toppin led the Kings in the half with 10 points, to keep the game close.

Anthony Glover had a slow start with just 4 points in the first half but picked it up in the second half as he ended the game with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Tyron Evans (17 points, 9 rebounds) & Tory Cavalieri (13 points, 3 of 6 from 3 point range) also played well in the second half but it wasn't enough to get the victory.

The Legend team was led by Renaldo Major (28 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds), Cliff Hawkins (20 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists), Shawn Daniels (13 points) and Courtney James (15 points, 12 rebounds).

The Kings will be facing the Valley Dawgs on Saturday April 29, 2005.
