Bristol White Sox News Release
Bristol Baseball, Incorporated has announced the hiring of six interns for the 2013 Bristol Sox season. The Bristol Sox are operated by Bristol Baseball, Incorporated.
Jordan Childress, of Haysi, Virginia, will return to the Sox for a second season. Childress, a student at the University of Virginia's College at Wise, served as public address announcer for most of last season and will be primarily responsible for broadcasting Sox games in 2013 as part of the team's internet radio broadcasts of all home and many road games.
"We are excited to welcome Jordan back to Bristol for another summer," said Mahlon Luttrell, President of Bristol Baseball, Incorporated and General Manager for the White Sox. "We are looking forward to expanding our communications program with his help and that of our other interns."
Joining Childress will be William Casey, Peter Cloutier, Tim Coleman, Zach Hall and Aubree Hutt. Casey previously worked with the Salem Red Sox, a Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
Casey and Hall are both students at Radford University. Coleman is a graduate of Virginia Highlands Community College. He and Hutt are currently studying at King College. Cloutier is a student at Virginia Tech.
"We are confident that all these young people are going to be a tremendous asset to our organization this season," continued Luttrell. "We hope to provide them with a great experience and hope they will help us provide our fans with even better experiences at the ballpark."
