Rockford RiverHawks News Release
Rockford, IL - Here's a chance for local families to be a part of the team for their inaugural season. The Rockford RiverHawks are looking for a few families to âhost' some of the players for the 2002 season. As a host family, you will receive season tickets for everyone in your home and the opportunity to have one of the RiverHawks players be a part of your family for the entire season.
"Being a host family is such a great opportunity," says Assistant GM Kristan Dolan. "In three years of experience with this league I've heard so many positive stories of players who still keep in touch with their host family, or still get birthday cards to this day."
So what does it take to be a host family? An extra room. Anything above and beyond that would be spoiling them! "Most of the time host families take these guys in and treat them like they would they're own child," explains General Manager Mike Babcock. "As long as they have somewhere to rest up, get a bite to eat and do their laundry the RiverHawks are happy.
If you are interested in becoming a host family please contact Assistant GM, Kristan Dolan at 964-2255.
