Rochester Brigade News Release
(Rochester, N.Y.)- The Rochester Brigade has teamed up with Strong Museum, in support of Football: The Exhibit. The celebration for the exhibit opening will kickoff on Super Bowl weekend, Saturday, January 25, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, January 26, from noon to 5:00 pm.
"We are extremely proud to be able to partner with Strong Museum on Football: The Exhibit, to continue to reinforce our ties to football in the Rochester community," said Melissa MacCaull, Executive Director of the Rochester Brigade. "The exhibit that Strong has assembled is highly interactive and so are our arenafootball2 games, so the partnership is perfect."
Brigade head coach Mark Saunders and last season's team MVP Martino Theus will be in attendance both days from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm to sign autographs and give their insight on football. Blaze, the team mascot, will also be available to meet and greet those football fanatics in attendance from 12:00 â 3:30 pm. Strong Museum will also offer crafts, face painting, and family activities throughout each day.
"We are delighted to join forces with the Brigade," says Susan Trien, Director of Public Relations and Advertising for Strong Museum. "As our partner for Football: The Exhibit, they bring a high level of excitement and energy."
Football: The Exhibit, supported in part by the Rochester Brigade, explores the science, technology and history behind the sport of football. The exhibit will showcase giant airbrushed paintings of players in action, lead the way into the zones that relate to the game, feature displays of Buffalo Bills memorabilia, and teach the key concepts of the game including collisions, peripheral vision, reaction times, trajectories and balance.
Football: The Exhibit, supported in part by the Rochester Brigade, is a traveling exhibit organized by the Arkansas Museum of Discovery and will remain on view at Strong Museum through May 11, 2003.
